The Furever After Plan™ is a member-only service. This means you have to register as a Pawzpurr™ member to guarantee the continuity and certainty of care for your pet when you pass away. Membership in Pawzpurr™ gives you peace of mind that your pet is cared for after you pass away. Certainty of Care makes sure (i) the physical possession of your pet is transferred to the caretaker chosen by you and (ii) the financial needs of the pet will be taken care of according to Pawzpurr’s policies, including veterinary care services.
In the event a member passes away and has not designated a caretaker for their pet, Pawzpurr™ will work with a no-kill shelter to rehome the pet with a caretaker approved by Pawzpurr™. All member benefits remain with the pet regardless of who the caretaker is.
The member has 100% authority regarding the designation of the caretaker during the member’s life. The caretaker may be changed at any time during membership by contacting Pawzpurr. If the caretakers chosen by the member are unavailable to take the pet, Pawzpurr will work with a no-kill shelter to rehome the pet with a caretaker approved by Pawzpurr.
Members will be asked to provide alternate caretakers. Should all identified caretakers not choose to take responsibility for the pet, the pet will be transported to the nearest no-kill shelter until it is rehomed with a caretaker approved by Pawzpurr™.
A Pawzpurr Shepherd will be assigned to your pet. This person will check in with the caretaker and conduct health checks and well-visit calls throughout the year to ensure the pet's well-being.
Pawzpurr™ will provide benefits for the support of a member’s pet until the pet passes away. At the time of death of the pet, a death benefit of $200 will be distributed to the caretaker to assist with the cremation or burial of the pet.
Currently, the Furever After Plan™ only provides certainty of care to dogs and cats in the state of Texas.
An additional transportation benefit can be added to the monthly membership fee when a person joins Pawzpurr. This benefit will cover transportation of the pet beyond 250 miles of where the member lived. If your named caretaker moves to another state after you have joined Pawzpurr, simply contact Pawzpurr at any time and add the travel benefit to your membership.
You may cancel your membership in Pawzpurr™ at any time. If you get another pet, you can reapply for membership into Pawzpurr™ to cover the new pet.
The Pawzpurr™ member’s portal will allow members to provide their requests for care and special messages for their pets and future caretaker.
No, membership is non-transferable. However, should the member give up or surrender their pet prior to their passing, the member may cancel their membership and the new owner of the pet may join Pawzpurr™.
Yes! Dogs and Cats may be added any time after signing up for Pawzpurr™ for only $15 per additional pet, per month.
No, but a licensed veterinarian must be identified upon joining Pawzpurr™ and when pet care is transferred to your chosen caretaker. A Pawzpurr™ representative will validate the Veterinarian’s clinic prior to care being obtained, as the clinic will be required to accept Pawzpurr™ pet medical coverage for veterinary expenses.
There is only one disqualification for Pawzpurr™ membership. If a person is 75 years of age or older and owns a pet that is under five years of age, then that person will not qualify for Pawzpurr™ membership.
The caretaker will be responsible for the burial or cremation of the pet. Pawzpurr™ will provide a $200 benefit upon the death of the pet, paid to the caretaker to assist with expenses.
Yes, you may cancel at any time. However, there are no refunds of membership dues already paid. Membership benefits will be terminated immediately upon cancellation.
No, all membership fees paid to Pawzpurr™ are non-refundable.
